Does my receipt of the MS RN newspaper mean I am a member of MNA?

Receipt of the MS RN newspaper does not mean you are a member of MNA.  The MS RN is mailed to all Mississippi licensed nurses.  To become a member of MNA, Click Here to complete an application on-line or submit a Membership Application to MNA.

How is MNA’s legislative agenda developed?

MNA’s legislative agenda is developed based on the specific needs and challenges of registered nurses and advanced practice registered nurses.  MNA considers the current and emerging trends in healthcare and also any trending issues in Mississippi.  MNA obtains input from the Health Affairs Committee, our District Presidents, and our membership in developing our legislative agenda. Our membership, through the House of Delegates, oftentimes passes resolutions that identify areas where legislation or support is needed.  MNA actively works with the Mississippi Legislature and we also interact with our elected officials in Washington to garner support for bills positively impacting our nurses and patients in Mississippi. What is my username and password?

Your username is the email address that we have in our database, which you would have provided when joining MNA or registering for an event.  If you do not know your password, you can reset it by clicking Forgot/Reset Password and follow the instructions. If you need further assistance contact MNA.

How do I access my continuing education certificate(s)?
  • Click CE Surveys & Certificates
  • Enter your email address for the Username, and your Password. If you do not know your password, click Forgot/Reset Password and follow the instructions.
  • From this screen locate the session(s) you attended by year.
  • Please complete the survey(s) within 30 days of event date.
  • Twenty-four (24) hours after completing the survey(s), repeat entry process and print your certificate(s). Your certificate(s) will be available for printing indefinitely.

What is the difference between MNA and the Board of Nursing?

MNA and the Mississippi Board of Nursing (MSBON) are two separate organizations that play a critical role in the career of every Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. MNA is the professional association for Mississippi’s Registered Nurses and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses.  The MSBON is a consumer protection agency with authority to regulate the practice of nursing through licensure as provided for by the Mississippi State Code.
